Internet stalker profile (and any stalker, especially a male)
If you've been wooed by a cyberstalker, this profile will bring you back to reality:
  • lives in a 1-room apartment which hasn't been cleaned for months - if ever
  • has stacks of pornographic magazines in his bedroom area
  • has poor personal hygiene
  • has poor table manners
  • has poor social etiquette
  • hasn't changed the sheets on his bed for months, which are now best described as crusty
  • has a bathroom, the state of which doesn't bear thinking about
  • lives on pizza and beer/coke, the remnants of which litter his apartment
  • may have an unusual pet (eg ferret) which has free run of the apartment
  • is either significantly over- or under-weight
  • has a small moustache or other facial hair
  • has not held down any job for more than a couple of years, probably less
  • has no friends
  • has no life outside the Internet
The Internet stalker probably has other unpleasant characteristics that sexual harassers possess, and the usual sexual inadequacy including lack of intimacy, controlling behaviour, no concept of the partner's needs, premature ejaculation, and an abnormal belief bordering on obsession in his smallness.

Warning signs
These are the signs to be alert to:
  • expects you to spend all of your time with him/her or inform him/her of your whereabouts
  • refuses to accept "no" for an answer
  • isolates you from your friends and/or family
  • puts you down in front of your family or friends
  • sends frequent unsolicited or unwelcome gifts
  • makes offers of unsolicited help
  • excessive niceness in the early stages
  • use of guilt to manipulate your feelings or to force you into courses of action you feel unhappy with
  • extreme jealousy
  • frequent loss of temper
  • abuse of alcohol and/or drugs
  • following you wherever you go
  • threats
  • physical or verbal abuse
  • damage or destruction to your property
  • talks about violence or is fascinated with themes of violence
  • makes your family or friends feel scared or uneasy
1.
Topic

Paedophile victimising young people through social networking sites.

2.
Important questions that need an answer (three or more)

How can we stop this?
How to do we make the children aware?
What are the right ways to deal with it?
3.
Three talking heads (who I will interview formally)

Victim ( Georgina Nelson )
Expert ( Councillor )
Victims Parent
4.
Voice-over narration (what I will say about the topic through a narrator)

“The UK has over 250,000 paedophiles”
“One in every 200 adults are paedophiles”

I will show more detail in the voice over to give more effect and make it more dramatic. A voice over will also help if younger people are watching as it makes everything easier to understand.

5.
On-location footage (what I will show while narrating)

6.
The Twist(something cool to impress audience)

A twist will be the true story as it will add shock factor to the documentary and make it more dramatic as it will be a real story. We will use all facts and not make anything up.

7.
How I plan to “get it done”.

We will start filming the reconstruction first which will hopefully only take one or two days. We will do this by using 3 actors, the victim, the paedophile and the victim’s parent. We will then start to film other things which will include filming vulnerable places like schools and parks we will do this for shock factor. Editing will take place after we have all the footage and information we will then put it all together and plan out how we will edit it.

It is in black and white and filmed in the woods in The Henley College. Some of the parts are slow mo to make it more dramatic. There is sound effects of a heart beating in the background.

7.
How I plan to “get it done”.
Working as a group, each person will be in charge of different areas, by booking camera times, we can each divide the work into sections and some as a whole e.g.

Video Extras (secondary and primary pictures and videos and narration).
Interviews
Re-enactments and experimental footage

These are the sections the group can divide into, we could all be involved in each part but someone will be in charge of making sure its done and edited.
Documentary Outline
00.00 – 02.00
For the first 2 minuet of my documentary it will feature a re-enactment of the dangers of social networking, which will show a girl meeting up with someone she met online but is shocked to see it was not who she expected as the man who meets her immediately attacks and rapes her.

02.00 – 03.00
In the next minuet our documentary will go further into detail about social networking statistics. This will feature a montage of pictures and clips taken online of past relevant stories. This montage will be voiced-over.

03.00 – 05.00
The next two minuets will feature some interviews from users of social networking site answering some questions about it, like how safe they feel about social networking, why they like it and what they don’t like about it etc.

5.00 – 07.30
The next two minuets and 30 seconds will feature footage of a group member or volunteer on various social networking sites, communicating online as we observe how it works and how dangerous and possibly safe it is.

07.30 – 09.00
In the next two minuets and a half, the documentary will look at the criminality of the dangers of social networking, including interviews with the police, and victims of this type of criminality, then a final statement to outline the main points and the credits.
